Richard Brasser -- Chief Executive Officer and President With over 10 years of experience in the interactive media world, Richard has become one of the leading experts in social media and online marketing. As an acclaimed speaker, author and thought leader, Richard has been a speaker for the Inc. 500 conference, an “Entrepreneur Roadmap” board member for the Kauffman Foundation, a member of the Social Media Task Force for NASDAQ and a board member of the Charlotte Interactive Marketing Association. In addition, Richard’s executive acumen has been recognized as the Charlotte Entrepreneur of the Year in 2003, Business Person of the Year by the NRCC, honored as a “Face of Entrepreneurism” by Inc. Magazine, and a recipient of the National Leadership Award by the Business Advisory Council. Since founding the company in 1999, Richard has helped some of the nation’s leading brands create their social networking strategies and successful interactive media initiatives. Aiding in strategic marketing programs for companies such as Siemens, Citibank Smith Barney, Pepsi and RSM McGladrey, Richard has honed his understanding of how to create real engagement both in person and online. Having a special aptitude for spotting trends, managing growth and creating transformation, Richard continues to be at the leading edge of marketing strategy and communication. This vision helped The Targeted Group achieve a 400% growth rate in the 3rd and 4th quarter of 2008, during the most dramatic economic collapse in recent history. As a serial entrepreneur, Richard has created several successful businesses that range from an exclusive business club (The Foundations Club) to an angel/private equity investment firm (The Foundations Club Angels/Carton Richards). He is a founding member of the Business and Innovative Growth Council and the Miranda Foundation. His tireless work ethic has helped him achieve the highest levels of business success as well as becoming a commercial pilot, touring professional golfer and semi-professional soccer player. Richard received his BA in Psychology from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington in 1990 and was the Valedictorian of his post graduate business program at the SDG Business Academy. Richard has a passion for philanthropy and actively contributes to charities and associations across the country.
